This Target Express (near both the University of Maryland College Park and College Park metro) has a reasonable variety of items to choose from for the store being just a quick stop store. My husband and I recently purchased some affordable Dial brand of Omega mixture Omega packed sea berrie soap bars (ten- 4 ounce pack), almond and shea butter suave  conditioner, citrus rush scent of  suave 3 in 1 conditioner+shampoo+bodywash , orange juice, and simply balanced variety tilapia filets.  The customer service from the cashiers was outstanding and my husband and I were in and out of this College Park MarylandTarget Express within a reasonable timeframe. However, due to the cost of the items and more or less the size of the Target Express store it is more for if you need a few items until payday.  If you are trying to get groceries to last you for at least two weeks that are only 1-2 buses away from the Prince GeorgePlaza Metro or the University of Maryland College Park metro the following other places might better serve your needs; Target or Giant grocery store near the PG Plaza metro, Giant grocery store near the Greenbelt metro, Shoppers grocery store in College park metro and/or Costco near the Wheaton metro.
My husband originally first got me interested in trying sandwiches from Jimmy Johns back around the summer of 2009 when we were living in Orlando, Florida. There was a Jimmy John’s sandwich place that was a couple miles from the University of Central Florida (near an apartment that we lived at that also had other restaurants too such as The Pita Pit, Steak N Shake, Panera Bread etc.).  My husband and I ordered combo meals from here, (my husband chose the Big John sandwich meal while I chose the Vito).  The Vito tasted superb because the amount of meat and other toppings on the Vito bread was just enough (with the right balance of the Italian vinaigrette that comes with it).  I also enjoyed the decent range of drinks that were available for the combo meal (my husband politely served me a drink hybrid of Cherry coke and rootbeer because he knows I like both drinks). You might not expect to find patissserie fit for royalty at a mall. But at K-märkt, a kiosk in Stockholm’s new foodie hotspot Teatern, chef Daniel Roos, the man behind Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria’s wedding cake, and dessert at the 2014 Nobel dinner, serves up tempting treats (try the mini-Nobel puds infused with saffron and dewberry).
The food court, in the Ringen shopping centre, boasts kiosk after kiosk of temptation with the names of the country’s culinary stars etched above the takeout windows. The aim is to serve world-class food, but in a fast food-style at affordable prices: dishes range from £3 to £9.

I wait in line for a decadent hotdog at Korvkiosk – courtesy of chef Magnus Nilsson of Fäviken restaurant, currently ranked 25th on the list of the world’s best. A savoury toasted bun stuffed with cooked sausage topped with räksallad (shrimp salad), roasted shallots, salty pickles and tangy mustard may look like a regular hotdog, but the exquisite combination of toppings means it tastes divine – a bit like Nordic minimalism, which wraps high quality in simple packaging. Delicious.

The brain used to be the one organ that researchers believed was pretty unchanging over time, in contrast to other organs that are always replenishing themselves. After all, the brain sort of has to stay constant if it’s going to keep all our memories and experiences intact over the course of our lifetimes. But in recent years, neuroscientists have found that indeed the brain does retain some plasticity – malleability – and it seems to become considerably more plastic when people exercise their bodies. Now, a new study finds that an area of the brain involved in vision, originally thought to be fairly resistant to change, also responds strongly to short bouts of exercise. The discovery is exciting, and it makes you wonder what other effects exercise might have on the brain, especially over the course of a lifetime.
AP Photo/Kamran Jebreili
The team of researchers behind the new study replicated a setup that had been done in animals before: They had people wear eye patches, and either exercise or sit still and watch a movie. Normally, when a person or animal wears an eye patch, the covered eye becomes stronger to compensate for the lack of input. In the current study, when people exercised intermittently on a stationary bike, their covered eye became significantly stronger, compared with the people who were sedentary. Which suggests that the brain may enter a state of increased plasticity as a response to physical exercise.
Why would exercise increase plasticity in a brain region known to not be plastic? Author Claudia Lunghi from the University of Pisa, who carried out the study along with Alessandro Sale from the National Research Council, tells me that exercise seems to reduce inhibition in certain cells – in other words, “it’s as if physical activity removed the brakes, to trigger plasticity,” she says. The neurotransmitter GABA is the main inhibitor of neuronal activity, so if its presence is decreased by exercise or by anything else, then the brain can amp up its activity, and therefore become more malleable.
ADVERTISING
This is certainly not the first study to show that the brain is more adaptable than we thought. There’s been lot of work, for instance, on how antidepressants can increase plasticity in certain brain regions, which is thought to be why antidepressants and talk therapy are more effective in tandem than alone. Exercise does a similar thing, particularly in the way of helping “grow” new neurons in the hippocampus, the area of the brain that shrinks with age, depression, and dementia. But Lunghi thinks it’s too early to prescribe exercise alone for depression, or for any other disorder for that matter.
“Our study is more surprising because it indicates that moderate levels of physical exercise can promote plasticity in the visual cortex, a structure that is thought to be lacking plasticity in adulthood,” she says. “For this reason the fact that a non-invasive manipulation such as physical activity can boost plasticity in the visual cortex is particularly surprising and particularly important. It indicates that the effect of physical activity on brain plasticity is pervasive and very strong.” Using different types of exercise to help treat people with brain injuries is an obvious application, she adds, especially in times when “new connections and circuits need to be ‘built’ to recover, or in the case of pathological aging, when brain-death has to be slowed down. Keeping the brain plastic actually would be very important to prevent pathological brain aging.”

Time will tell how exercise may be used in the future to help the brain recover function by boosting plasticity. Her immediate plans are to research “lazy eye,” or amblyopia, which is thought to be treatable only in childhood, since in adulthood the brain can’t recover function as well. But that all may change now. “If by combining the classic treatment for amblyopia (occlusion of the non-amblyopic eye) and physical activity we will be able to enhance visual plasticity to recover visual function of the amblyopic eye, then we will give a chance to these patients.”
In the meantime, exercise can only benefit your body and brain, whether we understand all the molecular mechanisms or not. So, if you can, take a walk or hop on the stationary bike. It may do more for your neurons than science can even understand right now.

There was a Jimmy John's sandwich place that was a couple miles from the University of Central Florida (near an apartment that we lived at that also had other restaurants too such as The Pita Pit, Steak N Shake, Panera Bread etc.). Last, but not least both the servers were friendly, gave impeccable customer service, and had our orders ready in a reasonable timeframe.

    2.0 star rating
    12/11/2015
I admit that this review of the Red Robin's Burger Works is a little late because my visit was over 8-9 days ago. It was not easy for me to rate this Red Robins Burger works (near the Farragut North Metro station) only two stars because I normally enjoy burgers and the workers there were extremely nice.  I stopped by Red Robins after an event I attended because of my previous positive experience with a Red Robins (I had enjoyed a burger from Red Robins back around 2008 when my husband and I visited a location in Williamsburg, Virginia). I ordered the sautéed shroom burger with the sweet potato fries.  The pros; both the cashier and server were extremely friendly and my order came out quick within less than 4 minutes-hence the two stars for great customer service. However, the sweet potato fries tasted like they were put in some oil that did not agree with the sweet potato flavor (in addition to the thai chili ketchup clashing with the taste of the sweet potatoe fries) and the burger was not cooked enough to my liking-however in the servers defense I forgot to make it clear when I ordered the burger how I wanted it cooked (I was not asked but I should have known better to remember to ask). If I ever came back-due to at least the polite customer service- I might see how the regular potato fries taste first and remember to  emphasize how I want my burger cooked.

    First to Review
I admit that I ended up seeing some parts of the American Psychological Association building (near the Washington D.C. Union metro station) because of an event that I decided to attend that was held there Tuesday night. The inside of the building looked pretty pristine and the security guard that helped give me clearance to go to the event was friendly as well. Additionally, I noticed that the building was well-lit from the inside and easy to find from the outside (I was able to see the lettering for the American Psychological Association from the outside even though it was already after sunset).
