 Darkness Before Dawn Movie Message?, June 18, 2015
I decided to watch Halo 4 : Forward Unto Dawn as a way to bond with my husband for his birthday and understand his inner world more. The pros to this movie; Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn introduces one of the key characters of the film (Masterchief) that explains the film’s backstory. The film also plays with the idea of what can happen in the future if all military branches joined forces. The cons; The plot at least gave a backstory as to why the recruits at the training academy cared greatly about becoming the top in their jobs. However, the plot did not demonstrate enough on how they were truly going to be ready for what happened. For instance, the responsibility to train the United Bations Space Command candidates (USNC) seemed to fall too much on one person. I have been fortunate to be exposed to multiple work environments where I noticed that there were multiple managers that delegated the objectives of the work assignments. However, in the film the recruits are being trained to basically help save the world and yet the one person tasked to train them seems to not receive much leadership help to ensure a successful outcome (adding more leaders for the training would have strengthened the plot). The film jumps straight to the recruits being exposed to be expected to excel at the academy with not enough plot sequences to show them undergoing training. However, for me at least, watching the film was not a complete waste of time because it enabled me to have some bonding time with my husband on his birthday and understand one of the games that he enjoys. However, I would recommend Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn more for those who enjoy the Halo game series (such as my husband).

 Spirit Ally Guidebook/Referencebook, June 19, 2015
Spirit Guides & Angel Guardians by Richard Webster Is a healing book for those who believe in spirit allies in conjunction with connecting to the higher self and increasing intuition. I do believe and concur with the school of thought that many people (regardless of self-confidence level, perceived intellectual intelligence and/or emotional intelligence) have varied levels of intuition. However, I understand that some people naturally have it from the day they are born while others must strengthen their intuition as you would a physical muscle and with practice. I have heard even heard from well-meaning people (within the new age community) who say that it is not necessary for spiritual evolution to connect with spirit helpers during the course of one’s physical lifetime. However, I intend to still learn about connecting with my heavenly spiritual allies and strengthening my communication for two main reasons; I notice that the more I make a genuine effort to do this then the more my intuition blooms/strengthens. Additionally, with increased spirit ally communication, my connection with my higher self is strengthening and my sense of discernment and awareness of when and/or where to take practical action on certain matters sharpens. Page 25 features wedding pictures of Prince William and Kate Middleton along with a photo of the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles at the top. Vera Wang on Weddings by Vera Wang features information from her life as it dovetails with both her personal and professional life. For instance, page 14 contains a picture of Vera Wang and her husband Arthur as guests of her best friends wedding in July 1987. Then there are other pictures such as the Fieldstone Winery and Vineyard in Healdsberg California, information pertaining to smaller catering companies on pages 106-107, pages 216-217 a model wearing an antique brooch and Vera Wang’s makeup designer friend applying her makeup (she is quoting Stay True to Yourself, which makes me non-judgmentally curious if the term originated from the upper-class and then spread to other circles, socio-economic classes. Of course, there is much more featured in the book Vera Wang On Weddings by Vera Wang.

Healing Spiritual Ally Blueprints, June 19, 2015
This book The Wizard of Us by Jean Houston provides some details and information to help me further understand her work after gleaning some important insights from a recent audio seminar that featured her as a guest. This is important to me because I’m well aware that my true self is going to come out more and more the longer I live in my present lifetime regardless of how much I try to repress it. However, even as I understand what it means to stay true to yourself, I reluctantly admit to struggling with this due to my logical/intuitive awareness that I’m prejudged based on my perceived intellectual/emotional intelligence/self-confidence regardless of my intent when expressing my true self (i.e. a catch 22 when expressing myself authentically because when I do then I’m only seeking attention and/or a cry for help but judged still the same for trying to be too perfect when I do try to avoid opening up). I reluctantly admit to caring more about my intellectual growth/emotional intelligence instead of my perceived physical attractiveness to others because it is common knowledge that financial success and success in selling the self are closely related to perceived intellectual brilliance/emotional intelligence. Nonetheless, the following details are some of what is included in the book; using the yellow brick road as one of the blueprints/prototypes on the road towards connecting with one’s heavenly spiritual allies ( or as the author uniquely calls the entelechy, starts on page 31), pages 62-63 the scarecrow archetype as it relates to a healing meditation exercise, page 111 the scene where the Wicked Witch casts a spell on Dorothy and her friends as a way of stopping them from continuing their journey as it relates to the practical life scenario of trying to avoid stopping when one is on the path towards accomplishing certain goals (such as towards money, certain careers etc.), and remembering joy (pages 160-161). Basically, this book is great for those who are open to having a spiritual transformation book in the theme of the Wizard of Oz film. It is written online that Jean Houston’s work has attracted students from very successful walks of life (there are online sources that connect Hillary Clinton to her work). Eerily, I can confirm receiving an e-mail about an online seminar featuring Jean Houston and less than two hours later unexpectedly seeing an article in my personalized newsfeed that linked Hillary Clinton with Eleanor Roosevelt (which for me is a sign from my higher self/my soul to study what my budget will allow when it comes to Jean Houston’s work until I purchase the discovering your life purpose course, which I intend to be by December 2016 or earlier).

For Transitions to The Private And/or Government Sectors, June 19, 2015
Out of Uniform; Your Guide To A Successful Military To Civilian Career Transition by Tom Wolfe covers various angles that one has to look at when striving to make a seamless transition to the civilian sector. The following are some of the subject areas that are discussed in the book; how the job search is both about educating yourself and finding a job (page 39), an example of a resume using a sample of someone who has a Norfolk, Virginia address (page 103), and alumni associations/veteran organizations (pages 119-120). For anyone that is getting out that happens to see this review I have two more things that I learned the challenging way that I must pass on; 1) Try to hold on to your car if possible even if you are moving to an area where public transportation is available. I say this because I lost out on two different jobs due to not having a car (one job with Walt Disney world back in 2009 that would have allowed me the chance to be a travel planner and a second job around summer 2013 that was part of a program for military veterans and a decent starting salary but required a car). Additionally, trying to get a second job is not impossible but tricky due to the car situation. So whatever you do try to hold on to the car if possible. The second thing I would gently advise is to try to stay living in the vicinity of where you left the military if possible. My husband and I both experienced unnecessary upheaval after I left the navy because I cared too much of the potential of what some of my former co-workers would think if they saw me in the same area, and was still searching for a job comparable to the pay I had when I left the military. Additionally, I saw stars in my eyes and the potential to pursue my dreams of working in the travel industry of Orlando Florida while overlooking the economic goldmine in Virginia that I was moving away from and moving away so soon after leaving the military. I was granted my remaining vacation time to use up the beginning of April 2009 while still in Norfolk Virginia, and left for Orlando Florida with my husband less than two weeks later. In retrospect, I now realize that the transition would have been much smoother for my husband and I if I would have set my pride aside and settled for living in Virginia after leaving the navy. There is so much more that I could share on what I learned the hard way of what to do, but I will leave that to the paid military transition experts.

Musical Notes of Elevation, June 19, 2015
The Original High by Adam Lambert (deluxe edition) is a music compilation that I pre-ordered back in April out of anticipation. I’m so glad that I did because the songs on the cd make it well worth it. I’m going to leave the other Glamberts to announcing what their favorites are. However, I personally would recommend first sampling any of the following songs to help decide because the clever mashups of rock and dance sprinkled throughout the songs; Ghosttown, The Original High, Another Lonely Night, Underground, Evil In The Night, and Rumors feat. Tove Lo. I admit that I first started purchasing collections of Adam Lambert’s music since 2010. However, The Original High is also great for those new to his music who are open to listening to various music blends (dance rock, electronica pop, pop and rock etc.) because of the way Adam Lambert pours his heart and soul into these songs.

Nine Inch Nails Concert Classics, June 19, 2015
I was first exposed to the music of Nine Inch Nails as a teenager living in Illinois via both the radio and MTV. A multiple number of Nine Inch Nails songs got me through some spiritually dark nights of the soul I was experiencing between the ages of 16-17. I handle my spiritual tests much better, but listening to this music helps me remember, honor, and heal my rebellious side (in a healthy way) whenever that aspect of me (from my teenage years) resurfaces in my memory despite my best efforts to repress it. Seeing The Happier Perspective, June 19, 2015
From my perspective, Shake It Out by Florence and the Machine is an empowering indie rock/indie pop song about making the best out of life even when things appear to be getting more challenging. I also like when she sings the positive/healing statement in the song that it is always darkest before dawn (in other words the positive message that things are often about to turn the corner even during the most stubborn of life challenges). I also take Shake It Out by Florence and The Machine to be a positive spiritual message to keep going regardless of any external factors that are playing out in a person’s life and to believe in yourself regardless of how many critics and/or naysayers are in your immediate environment (i.e. allowing oneself to feel their emotions rather than denying them, but expecting even better things in life regardless of how long they may take to manifest).

Love Book; The Top 50 Most Trusted Experts Reveal Their Secrets For Relationship Success by Dr. Scott Braxton Ph.D. is an invaluable resource for me due to my intent to be both a fantastic wife and an effective financial provider in my marriage with my husband (as well as my intent to stay married). This book fills a need for more material from various experts when it comes to helping to cultivate lasting and close relationships/marriages. I may look at and share various media sources, but I’m careful to avoid taking what I see in online and/or offline print as gospel or the final word because information can often change and viewpoints of even the most trusted experts in articles featured online can sometimes have their own biases when it comes to who belongs together as a couple and who doesn’t. This is not to say that this book is bias-free. However, from my logical and intuitive viewpoint, this book contains valuable information because helpful details are shared from 50 experts on making marriages/relationships last rather than being limited to get information on relationships/marriages from online news sources that may be popular but have too few experts sharing their viewpoints (on the plus side this is partially why I always decide whether to even look at the information or read it by first running it through my own intuition/logic meter). Strong Concert Effort, June 19, 2015
This Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour Dvd is both entertaining to watch and includes songs that fit well with her free spirited concert theme. One thing that I did enjoy about the dvd is that she did evoke a light-hearted carefree feeling throughout both the concert and her interviews. Miley Cyrus carries the love and upbeat spirit with her when she was interviewed with two of her family members. I also enjoyed that some of the members of Miley Cyrus’s dance entourage were interviewed for the concert dvd. There are nineteen show-stopping performances on The Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour dvd that start out with a strong beginning with the SMS song and closes majestically with her Party In The U.S.A. performance. Adore You and Do My Thang are some of the concert productions that I enjoyed from this dvd, however there are so many more songs included that will appeal to a vast crowd even if they are unsure how they feel about some of the songs. For instance, I have truly put the painful/difficult past behind me regarding my late biological mother. However, I was unsure of how I would feel when I saw the beginning of Miley Cyrus’s Jolene performance due to this being my late biological mother’s namesake. Much to my relief, Miley Cyrus injected such a playful and energetic performance to this song to the point where hearing the song was a better experience than I initially expected it to be. There are other songs on this dvd that Miley Cyrus turns into musically strong performances as well. Overall, I’m very glad to have obtained this Miley Cyrus Bangerz dvd.

Winx Adventures, June 19, 2015
First off, yes I know that this unique cartoon is for teenagers and younger. However, the Winx Club series contains cheerful content that is good for a healthy and happy escape to some of the true spiritually dark events that happen in real-life. Additionally, I’m learning some ideas to apply to themes I can keep in mind for my law of attraction writing and story -telling writing (regardless of whether and/or when I get published). Winx Club; The Secret of The Lost Kingdom movie (Nickelodeon Channel)centers around Bloom’s mission to help find her parents. Fortunately, Bloom gets help from her friends along the way and there are a couple of upbeat messages hidden in the film. Some of the messages/reminders that I took away from watching the film; a person has the potential to write/create whatever ending they want when it comes to their story in their personalized book of life, the power of believing in yourself even when things seemed stacked against you, and how you are spiritually not alone and can call on spiritual assistance in your waking life even when you are temporarily running into challenges trying to attract and/or be a magnet to certain help in real-life. I just wish that I could comment on the bonus episodes that are meant to come with this edition (I’m in the midst of getting this resolved from the merchant I ordered the dvd from, yet I do intend to provide an update when I get the chance to view them). On the back of the dvd, it is written that there are 7 Bonus Episodes From Winx Club; The Power of Believix. Nonetheless, this Winx Club; The Secret of the Lost Kingdom movie dvd is listed to be produced at Rainbow CGI Animation Studio via A Rainbow Production and is perfect for those who like mystical cartoons that deal with interdimensional travel to multiple worlds.

 Money For Career and/or Educational Progression?, June 19, 2015
How To Score A Debt-Free College Education by Linda M. Enoh,PhD. appealed to me because both my husband and I want to keep the door open to taking more college courses while paying for the classes with cash. This is due to the fact that we both have student loans under our own names and in similar amounts (we both definitely avoided having any family members or friends co-sign our loans). This obviously also means my husband is not on the hook for my student loans if I unexpectedly die young before him and vice versa. We also both mutually agreed to avoid borrowing any further money for the rest of our current lifetimes (even for mortgages and student loans) and even when our incomes increase at the level comparable to what we had before I left the navy in May 2009. It is hard for me to be one of the few giving the book only three stars when I wanted to give it five. Why you may ask-The pros- there is information that a person can use if they are already employed by a college and/or bound for joining the military. Additionally, the author gives helpful information for those who are open to living abroad. The cons; outside of scholarships, a person who plans on attending online classes within the U.S. and/or is a non-traditional student may not find the same number of options if their employer does not offer tuition assistance for their school and the military funding option may not be guaranteed for prior service students over a certain age. However, in the authors defense, this book is great for students who are employed at colleges and/or universities and/or prospective college students who obtain jobs in the university/college sector (which is why I intend to at least keep this book for my husband).

Spiritual Wave, June 19, 2015
I’m fortunate to have purchased The Perfect Wave dvd back in February 19, 2015 for just five dollars and 39 cents (counting shipping). My preference in learning about various religious and spiritual faiths when it comes to the afterlife and heaven is what indirectly contributed to my interest in getting this dvd. Scott Eastwood plays Ian McCormack, a man born of religious parents who love him very much. Ian McCormack enjoys his life very much in New Zealand and enjoys hanging out with his friends and surfing. Ian’s parents seem to be supportive and understanding of his interests, but are concerned about his lack of spiritual faith. For Ian, everything seems fine and he is so passionate about surfing that he ends up successfully convincing his parents to allow him to go on a trip related to his surfing interests. My only caveat to the movie is that there were not enough scenes that I had hoped for when it came to depicting what he saw in the afterlife. However, in all fairness, The Perfect Wave was still pleasant to watch.

Rango’s Evolution?, June 19, 2015
Rango centers around a talking lizard whose life is turned upside down both literally and metaphorically when his living habitat falls out of his owners’ vehicle into dry desert land. Rango is shown to have an understandably hard time accepting what is going to happen as he improvises his acting and pretending that he is part of some story. His preference towards story-telling and imagining is actually harmless until he is forced to adapt to another area and leads the town residents to believe that he is actually more violent than he is. Complicating matters further, Rango moves to an area populated by animals at a time where residents are grappling with water shortages, which is going to make Rango’s adjustment to his new life even more challenging than normal.

Maroon 5’s Musical Soul, June 19, 2015
This Walmart Soundcheck Maroon 5 dvd contains enthralling performances of five of their songs on this dvd; Makes Me Wonder, She Will Be Loved, Sunday Morning, This Love, and Won’t Go Home Without You. The Walmart Soundcheck Maroon 5 dvd also features an interview where Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine discusses how the Maroon 5 group came to be with one of the members discussing they are glad to have agreed to be part of the group but that it was a difficult decision to walk away from their other group to do so. She Will Be Loved and Won’t Go Home Without You are probably my favorite performances from the dvd, but I’m lucky to have first heard of Maroon 5 around 2004 when I was living in California with the songs being This Love and Harder To Breathe being some of the first songs that I head from Maroon 5. The Walmart Soundcheck Maroon 5 dvd is fine for anyone who is familiar with any of the songs by Maroon 5 and/or who like pop rock music.

Unleash The Beat 3 by Jes is a various artist collection featuring elements of trance, electronic, and club music and 30 different music tracks. Many who have been previously exposed to Jes’s music may remember her from some of her songs such as Imagination, Heaven, and When The Rush Comes (her work with Motorcycle). There is actually a brief sampling of When The Rush comes on the continuous mix track which is currently listed to be timed at 68 minutes and 19 seconds.

Suspense Center?, June 19, 2015
Point Break is one of those movies I actually first became aware of during my teenage years. I also recently watched this film curious to understand my late adoptive mother’s fascination with Patrick Swayze (who plays Bodhi in point Break)when she was alive (she admitted that Patrick Swayze was one of the men she found attractive). There are other major stars attach to Point Break as well such as Keanu Reeves (as FBI Agent Johnny Utah), Garey Busey (FBI Agent Angelo Pappas), Lori Petty (Tyler Endicott), Lee Tergesen (Rosie) and others. Johnny Utah is given information by Angelo Pappas about the unsolved bank robberies. There were 27 banks in 3 years and they would often be in and out in 90 seconds. There are four men involved and they go to the robberies dressed as these late presidents; Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan, and Jimmy Carter. To complicate matters, Johnny Utah is never quite the same emotionally once he hears about Tyler Endicott and runs into her in person. Pappas is naturally concerned about catching the robbers as quick as possible because they only hit during the summer. One way that Johnny Utah strives to go undercover is by learning what it takes to surf in order to simultaneously get closer to Tyler Endicott and gain the trust of Bodhi and his crew. Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers makes a few cameos in Point Break as well (in the role of Tone). Another cameo feature in Point Break is the late Christopher Lee Pettiet (I remembered him from Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead). Anyhow, Johnny Utah and Angelo Pappas have their work cut out for them in trying to get the bank robbers because the men have robbed so many banks to the point where they have learned how to stay one step ahead of the law authorities. It also doesn’t help that Tyler and Bodhi are strongly connected together and Utah is portrayed as being in emotional conflict due to being so much in love with Tyler while being aware that he must cooperate with Pappas.

Financial Heat, June 19, 2015
The Boiler Room dvd has photo images of Vin Diesel, Giovanni Ribisi, and Nia Long on the front of the dvd cover. With Nicky Katt also listed to be in the movie. I admit that Boiler Room is another film that I heard about via an e-mail connected to the office of Jordan Belfort. Due to obvious and understandable legal reasons, it is mentioned during the play of the dvd that Boiler Room is fiction. This is because one can easily see the obvious parallels between Wolf of Wall Street and Boiler Room The character of Seth Davis (Ribisi) just wants to make his father proud when it comes to eking out a living for himself. Davis sees opportunity when he gets hired at a stock brokerage firm, part of the appeal being is that he is a newcomer to working in the field. Seth Davis thrives in his job and even falls in love with a fellow coworker named Abbia (Nia Long). There are obvious references to the Glengarry Ross movie in Boiler room with referencing both the movie and the Always Be Closing phrase. There is even a cultural nod to the Wall Street movie (the character of Seth Davis is seen watching the Wall Street movie with his coworkers). I just seen his name on the back of the dvd cover, yet I admit that I did not know that Ben Affleck was in the Boiler Room film until I saw him in scenes involved with doing the hiring at the stock brokerage firm. Anyhow, things seem to be going along well for Davis until he convinces a purchasing manager at a Gourmet Foods Company to be a client.
